INFRASTRUCTURES

The Stylarius project is a genuine eco-tourism project. Therefore the ecolodge infrastructures have to meet the rules for eco-tourism. The project owners made this choice, not only to get the required eco-tourism certificate, but also because it is in harmony with their own philosophy and approach.  

All project buildings and facilities will either be reconstructed or restored. The project will contain new ecological features for reduced energy use. 

ENERGY

Heating and cooling (air-conditioning) of the ecolodges will be provided through geothermal heat-pumps. These heat-pumps will work on photovoltaic energy. Other energy saving devices will be used. 

SOLID WASTE

A private entrepreneur has started the collection of recyclable solid waste. Stylarius will join this initiative. Organic waste will be composted for use in the gardens and vegetable gardens. 

WASTE WATER

Stylarius will be equipped with a double waste water evacuation system, the so called ‘black water and grey water’ system.  Black water will be filtered either through biofilters or artificial reedbeds.
